Despite sounding like a jobbing carpenter from the East End of London-town – Len Sander is actually a Swiss space-pop band from Zurich.
Len’s Debut Album “Phantom Garden” is out on February 2015.
Not being ones to rush things (a bit like LEN the Odd-Job Man ) it has taken Len Sander over a decade to write this highly polished album.

We had a listen:
‘Mendrake’ is kooky, bumpy and itchy.
The rhythm makes you wanna scrape your skin – to get rid of those bumps.
But the heating-sounds and the ever-fermenting voice soon eases your mind – soothing gently with undulating ripples of softly balming honey.
But do not expect this luxurious intimacy to continue – because the ground suddenly gives way … abruptly dropping you like a velvet trapdoor.
Before you know it, you are messily falling into a heaped up store-room of fruity neon madness.
‘The Bird’ is scraping and buzz-led.
A probing beat gurgles inside a tin-can. And it taps along the side wall.
The voice here is regular – but it creates rich spikes of sound – and urging exaltations.
Quite reminiscent of Sade. Graceful, elegant – but with an edge that is dangerously nervous.
‘Animal State of Mind’ has a discordant attitude along with it’s fairy-keys and choking rhythms.
Yes, this a number that stumbles along awkwardly – but it is a treasure-box of quality jauntiness and plentiful, soulful jazziness.
