Despite issuing only one EP and two singles – (Diamond Waves, Sunny Afternoon and Tell It To The Wind ) Josefin and her band the Liberation are on a blazing roll.
To celebrate the Swedish Grammy nomination as Best New Artist, they have just released a new video for their track “Anything So Bright” —
We had a listen:
An oddly shaped mewing followed by a wider feedback hum greets us on this track.
After this, the whispering, enticing vocal beckons us closer.
A loose collection of dynamic sound rods and plonky strings starts things motoring. Then with a rat-a-tat of kickstarting drum the song proper begins.
And nice it is too. A shining jewel held deftly inside a jadestone setting. It sounds exciting. And it gets your pulse racing.
The proximity and the sheer sensuality of this piece will send your mind into crisis and create a mess of your defenses.
