Bully Trying

The last few months has seen Nashville four-piece Bully slowly but surely become the band to watch.

After a triumphant showing at SXSW this year which won over the likes of NME, NPR, Pitchfork and more, the buzz has further intensified.

Now, the band are prepping their hotly anticipated debut LP “Feels Like.

The album will be released on June 22nd and it promises to be a blistering, instantly infectious collection of searing power-punk tracks.

Bully are Alicia Bognanno on guitar and vocals, Stewart Copeland on drums, Clayton Parker on guitar and Reece Lazarus on bass.

We listened to Trying from the album:

This has a plucky beat and smooth nylon guitars that slide as they chirp along.

The powdery pom-poms of vocal are like spectral waterfalls of sound — rising and falling in tufts — yet remaining focussed on the ‘Trying’. For which Alicia seems passionate.

Meanwhile a chewed off style of percussion empowers those rockin’ vibes and delivers the melody super-intact.
