Saskatoon four-piece Close Talker comprising of Will Quiring (vocals, guitar), Matthew Kopperud (guitar, vocals), Jeremy Olson (vocals, bass), and Chris Morien (vocals, drums) released their second full-length album Flux
We had a listen to Burnstick taken from the album:
A repetitive orangey sound vibrates through the sozzled air as the simple rhythms get a stranglehold of you… And they won’t let go.
And although, lyrically, this is all about a sentimental hankering for something that just ain’t there… There is also a hidden optimism amongst all the jangles.
This is unruffled and lustrous dream rock with angelic vocals and plenty of unspoken yet pent-up passion.
