Buzz for Argentine rocker Panda Elliot continues to grow with the premiere this week of her video for the cover of The Cure’s “Lovesong”.
The U.S. release of her full length album “Forastera” is planned for late August.

Panda’s version of the Love Song has hollow and slightly lonesome vocals.
Let’s be honest, her voice digs into your heart like a red-raw rash. Saddened, incinerated, cried-dry.
The song is melancholy because love is too sad to bear. Our experience is always bittersweet — because emotion is so fleeting.
The acoustic guitar accompaniment is simply stunning —it allows the listener to focus on the warmness behind the sad-heart lyric.
Of course, the song ends bubbly and optimistic. But the overall effect is strangely dispiriting.
