New Rock Music Conference is Launched @RockcommLondon

Seven Webster (7pm Management) has launched the first edition of the London Rock Music Conference ROCKCOMM at the Rich Mix Cultural Foundation, Shoreditch, London yesterday June 8th.

The conference brings together executives and professionals from the world of rock music, and is intended to help stimulate positive discussion in order to promote the future growth of the sector.

Delegates, from around the world, enjoyed engaging with and learning from sessions provided by a host experts and professionals — all who had convincing track records in their fields of specialization.

Panel discussion studies included lively reports on how bands can make the most of PR, and also how bands and managers can develop their strategies for live music both nationally and internationally.

A session conducted about band branding was well received, as was a panel discussing methods that bands could use to gain maximum exposure through the services of radio, TV and streaming.

The ‘Manager’s View’ panelists included the managers of Enter Shikari, Thunder, Within Temptation, Lower Than Atlantis, Feeder and Opeth. The discussion included looking at different styles and strategies of management and discussed the standard deals.

The conference will continue Tuesday, June 9 with sessions on legal and financial aspects, a focus on music festivals, labels and exploring distribution and discussions on how to build international brands.

Delegates will also see special live performances by The Black Spiders, The Qemists, The One Hundred and Chemia.
