Here’s Some Reggae Fun — from a Master Musician with a Story to Tell ED ROMAN

Markham, Ontario-based folk-rock Jazz/Country cross-over musician Ed Roman has been a part of several bands, including the Brotherhood, Family Tree, Soup, Big Beat Collective and Special Ed and the Musically Challenged but he has always continued to create individually when not working with others.

His 2014 “Letters from High Latitudes” was an earthy, funky and magical mix of sounds.

We listened to his song “Jamaica” taken from the LP.

With some juicy light riff-work… this buzzes into action faster than an Ashanti honeybee late for his breakfast.

A syrupy-green pipe organ slides through the mulch and accentuates the unrefined yet joyous vocal.

The sounds are tangled like your pumpkin patch at the end of the summer.

Chortling good reggae fun — from a master musician with a desire to tell a story and carry a tune.
