Here is the Latest Single — Pain Of Dancers from DAISY VICTORIA — It is Bold and Sultry

We checked ‘Nobody Dies – the EP’   from solo starlet Daisy Victoria in September last year —and we thought it was “Superhero sized synthesizer-rock – with romantic punkish vocals, full of toxicity and blurred detachment…” [Review here>>]

Daisy Victoria rect
Daisy Victoria – Filled with dark meaning and sorrowed beauty…

So we are super-pleased to get a chance to review the new single ‘Pain Of Dancers‘ (release date: 25th Sept)

This begins with a flurry of whistling synths and a fine set of ornamental drums.

The bold & sultry contralto voice is tanned and,  although sleek  it seems agitated…

Pain, hatred, fear… All these feelings quickly accumulate in the limbic system.

And that is because the voice is filled with dark meaning and sorrowed beauty.

But the song is not stuffed with negative emotional drivers.  No, there is happiness and lightness here…

These feelings butterfly in at the most unexpected moments…

Meaningful and deep — with fleeting moments of heart-warming clarity — this is like trying to catch a glimpse of Shangri-La through a curtain of ever-darkening smoke.
