We love Ivy and Gold.
We think that the London based duo — Jamie Davies and Rachel Wilkinson — create artworks that are both supple and also supremely elegant.
Now they are to release a new single — ‘Red Wine’ (13th of November) and also announce a London show at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on the 24th of November.
We had a listen to Red Wine :
This haunting number starts with a spooky skid before the puppet-clown chatters along and introduces a filthy-beat.
The vocal is smooth and velvety.
This has enough danceable melody to get things moving in the club. But the imperishable rhythms and deviously magical sound-structure will have you listening, mewling and smiling as you nod-along with your headphones.
Luscious synth-rock created with a vexed silhouette — this is filled with the most exquisite sounds you have heard all year.
