For Lovers of The Pixies — Here is Some Catchy Indie Rock from UNIVERSAL THEE

The Edinburgh Scotland alt/indie five-piece rock band UNIVERSAL THEE comprising of James Russell, Robin Spivey, Lisa Russell, Andrew Perrie and Matt Grieve will release “All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace” on February 2016 — this, their sophmore album, sees them evolving their sound through more complex song-writing and polished recording and production processes.

We have been listening to Speaker

How many of us are in love with a speaker? Not just the cone-shaped diaphragm we get our sounds from… but also in love with the radio personality hidden inside the magic  box (a night time talk radio host, for example…)

This is a dandy doodle number with gurgles of guitar and lots of attractive harmonies.

The beat-time rhythms are remarkably addictive without becoming too kooky-odd.

This is contagilicious pop with just a hint of surf-spray and that nostalgic & distinct cheeriness that reminds us of early British beat.
