English progressive rock supergroup FROST* have released their highly anticipated new album titled ‘Falling Satellites’ and have also launched a brand new video for the track titled ‘Numbers’ … Produced by Crystal Spotlight.

Producer, keyboardist and Ivor Novello award winning songwriter Jem Godfrey said “Us being us, we wanted to try something a bit different for the Numbers video that would make it more interesting visually than just 4 blokes in a room wobbling about so we shot everything using bit of software called DepthKit via a Kinect sensor. ”
“This enabled us to create 3d modelled versions of ourselves that could continue to freely be rotated, moved and manipulated even after filming was completed. The render times were horrendous, but Crystal Spotlight did an incredible job putting it all together. I think the end result is magnificently Frost*-ish and suits the song very well.”
Jem is joined on the album by guitarist & vocalist John Mitchell (Lonely Robot, It Bites), drummer Craig Blundell (Steven Wilson) & bassist Nathan King (Level 42).
‘Falling Satellites’ is the band’s first album in 8 years & the follow-up to the applauded ‘Experiments in Mass Appeal.’
FROST* are on at this year’s Ramblin’ Man Fair, Maidstone – Saturday 23rd July
We watched Numbers:
This a sound pounder with blue/black bass notes, a cortège of keys — some baleful, most flighty — plus yearning guitar play that proings through the Metal Pin Art concept…
