The BOOKSHOP BAND with Ben Please, Poppy Pitt and Beth Porter are about to release their fourth album of 2016 — and it features the bestselling author of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin Louis de Bernières playing on his mandolin (of course) as well as other guest authors.
The album has been inspired by a series of books where stories centre around friendships and family relationships — and the chosen books were curated by the band’s local independent bookshop, Mr B’s Emporium of Reading Delights in Bath [@mrbsemporiumofreadingdelights]
The album will be released September 9th at a joint concert with Louis at Bewdley Book Week and the band will tour through September to promote the album.
