The Newcastle now Brighton UK psych rock trio DEMOB HAPPY , comprising of singer-bassist Matthew Marcantonio, drummer Thomas Armstrong and guitarist Adam Godfrey, have produced a remarkably groovy video for their new single Dead Dreamers [ see below ] — taken from their 2015 concept album “Dream Soda with a theme based around consumerism.
The band formed in 2008, released a digital-only in EP 2011 titled You Shook the Soul followed by a single titled Rattlesnake in February 2012.
The new single, produced by Tom Dalgety [Ghost, Royal Blood] has a melody that’s shaped with vocal cues… these chime against a bass that grumbles like an empty belly.
The sleaze is reminiscent of Queens Of The Stone Age, but the sarcastic and harmonized ever-present glee jingles and purrs like something you’d find during the Muse era of Absolution.
