MALKA — No No No

Scottish experimental alt-pop songbird MALKA has released her brand new single ‘No No No’ — the most recent number to be taken from forthcoming second album “Ratatatat” due October 20 via Tantrum Records.

MALKA – Aphotic bass-lines with unrestrained bursts of fun fiesta-type shapes…

MALKA first made waves on the music scene as Tamara Schlesinger, the frontwoman of acclaimed alt-folk collective 6 Day Riot and also as a prolific songwriter.

Her past work has been included in a host of high-profile syncs for TV series and Hollywood blockbusters – most notably Skins, Scream 4 and 127 Hours.

MALKA unifies aphotic bass-lines with unrestrained bursts of fun and plentiful fiesta-type shapes on ‘No No No’. Here she communicates a stimulating message of hope & development in spite of & even perhaps because of the tyrannical regimes we find ourselves faced with across the globe.

MALKA says, “‘No No No’ was one of the first songs I wrote for the new album. It helped me to define the sound I wanted to go for. Lyrically the song is about the NHS. The fight to protect something of great importance to our country, but equally it could be about fighting for something you really believe in…”
