The world-famous guitar virtuoso JOE SATRIANI will head-out on his G3 2018 UK TOUR with Dream Theater’s JOHN PETRUCCI and the former Scorpions guitarist ULI JON ROTH with the tour starting in the United Kingdom at the Southend Cliffs Pavilion on Tuesday, April 24 and continuing in London, Bristol, Manchester, Portsmouth and Birmingham. Satriani, “the people’s favourite guitarist” announced the release of his sixteenth solo album, “What Happens Next” in January. From the driving opening track, “Energy”, to the impressive punch of “Thunder High On The Mountain”, and the effortless, sensual chords of “Smooth Soul” this groovy and wonderful set of songs is almost an extrasensory experience.
Since its debut in 1996, SATRIANI’s G3 tour has featured the world’s best guitarists: from Steve Vai and Eric Johnson to Steve Lukather and Robert Fripp, and it has become a consistent concert hall sell-out attraction in the U.S., South America, Europe, Australia and Japan. “I could say that I’m surprised at the durability of G3 and how much it’s grown, but in a way I’m not,” SATRIANI says.
