NOVACUB based in London and formed by Bloc Party guitarist/keyboards Russell Lissack in 2017 create electro-style indie-rock.
The band also includes fellow Bloc Party member Louise Bartle [percussion/vocals] and is completed by harpist/vocalist Iona Thomas and drummer Tony Alda.
They have been recording with Steve Osborne (New Order, U2, Placebo) and tracks like “Wait Up” have cogwheels of rhythm, bright counterpoint notes, effervescent & energetic voices and intensity & perception that are way beyond a typical club style… to extend into something that’s rare and astute.
The band has announced that they will support the Kaiser Chiefs on their tour dates of the United Kingdom in January and February 2019 [see poster below]. The tour also features support from the excellent Hollie Cook.
