ALY & AJ — Church + Sanctuary Tour Dates

In 2018 ALY AND AJ [sisters Alyson and Amanda Michalka from Torrance, California] celebrated the end of a decade-long suspension of artistic endeavor with a revival album “Ten Years” that felt like a natural beginning as well as a welcome reintroduction to the bold playfulness of their 20s and the kinship of an era that brought a whole bunch of floaty dance ‘n’ electronic reversion-sounds filled with vigor and enthusiasm.

At Church with ALY AND AJ … [our] shows are a sanctuary…
Now, on their forthcoming Sanctuary  comeback tour, starting May 1st at Illinois State University [dates below] the sisters team with The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ young people, bringing donation bins and awareness booths to every tour date.

Shows are a sanctuary for our fans. We find a lot of peace and healing comes with talking to them while on tour,” explains Aly. “Hearing their stories about how they came to our music or how it impacted their life – it really touched us and we wanted to give something back.”

The latest release “Church” [shared below] is wigglesome fun, with twisting ‘n’ turning synths, involuntary beats and celestial voices. And although it has a serious heart, it’s as coola-boola & refreshing as iced lemonade.
