SLASH Feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators (SMKC) have confirmed a massive run of 2024 international dates.
The newly announced The River Is Rising-Rest of the World Tour ’24 will kick off with the band’s return to Mexico City’s Pepsi Centre WTC, and seek to hit 21 countries, and 32 cities across the globe. General sale for tickets has begun this weekend.
The collective is ten years and four albums into their musical journey. They continue to yield razzle-dazzle slam-dunks of immediacy & polychromatic musical perceptiveness with new songs coming super-propelled by enthralling melodies, unflagging guitar hooks, gigantic choruses, and even more expansive riffs.
The fourth studio album from SMKC and SLASH’s fifth solo album overall, SLASH with bandmates MYLES KENNEDY (Vocals), TODD KERNS (Bass & Vocals), BRENT FITZ (Drums), and FRANK SIDORIS(Guitar & Vocals), partnered with producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, John Prine, Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile), to bring about the band’s weightiest album to date. Recorded at RCA Studio A in Nashville, Cobb shared the band’s vision to lay down tracks live in the studio —including guitar solos and vocals— to reveal an impactive and compelling ‘live captured’ sound.
The album opens with “The River is Rising,” (video shared below) that is one of the band’s most complex and exciting compositions to date. It unravels via an intimidating, turbinating riff and mega-bottomless groove. The song peaked at #7 on the Rock Charts a year ago, making it the band’s eighth consecutive Top 10 hit single at radio.
