The spectacular live concert album and companion film —Live At The Hollywood Bowl With Orchestra by JOE BONAMASSA— will be available via J&R Adventures on May 17.
This dazzling CD/DVD, which is also available in digital, CD/BR, and 2 LP Vinyl (180-gram) versions, preserves Joe’s historic August 2023 debut performance at the famed Hollywood Bowl. With the help of a remarkable group of forty orchestra players, Bonamassa gave a performance that will live on forever and is preserved on this much anticipated album.
The album highlights the masterful blues-rock fusion of Bonamassa while also enhancing fan-favorite songs with opulent orchestral arrangements by some of Hollywood’s best, including David Campbell, Trevor Rabin, and Jeff Bova.
The project’s lead single, a riveting live rendition of Bobby “Blue” Bland’s “Twenty-Four Hour Blues”, is a sophisticated and accomplished number with some of Bonamassa’s best vocals to date: granular and unwavering. The guitar is played on this tune with piercing delicacy; it has the fluid translucence of gemstone lavender and honey. A superb execution.
