MICHELE DUCCI Ain’t Tuff

Former M+A and Santii member MICHELE DUCCI ( the ‘M’ from the electro-pop duo ‘M+A’, who became one of The Guardian’s ‘best new bands of 2014’) has released a cover version of GregoryBeBad’s I May Look Tuff, co-written by Gregory Josephs & Simon Milner of Is Tropical.

This comes after the release of Ducci’s debut solo album, “SIVE.”

viscerally shadowbound with shivery tears of coldsteel piano…

Raw Ramp

I met Simon Milner when I was in M+A and we opened the live show of his band Is Tropical. I love the way Simon writes…’ Ducci explains.

It’s a wonderful song that really makes you feel like you’re in June wearing your heart on short sleeves.’

I May Look Tuff Ducci

I May Look Tuff has an attractive refrain from backing singer Letizia Mandolesi; with Ducci himself providing all instrumentation and lead vocals.

Wavering bourbon cream in tone and texture, the main vocal is reminiscent of Lou Reed’s work from the Transformer era. This song is twilit and viscerally shadowbound with shivery tears of coldsteel piano.
