Superstar hard rock musician DUFF McKAGAN is kicking off the highly anticipated U.S. leg of his Lighthouse Tour ’24 with three legendary punk musicians joining him for dates.
In his autobiography It’s So Easy (And Other Lies), Duff wrote that he fashioned himself after the punk bassists Barry Adamson of Magazine, Paul Simonon of the Clash, and (of coure) Lemmy of Motörhead.
At the age of fifteen, Duff formed his first punk outfit, The Vains. He performed (bass) under the name Nico Teen.
In 1980, Duff joined pop-punk band The Fastbacks (as their drummer!) He’s also associated with The Living and The Fartz (a project that evolved into 10 Minute Warning, for whom he played rhythm guitar.)
He replaced bassist Ole Beich in Guns N’ Roses in March 1985.
Duff recently announced DUFF MCKAGAN LIVE AT EASY STREET, a Record Store Day exclusive vinyl LP release of his hometown performance last December at Seattle, WA’s Easy Street Records, arriving for RSD Black Friday 2024 on November 29.
