BLACK EYED SONS Hole Pondering

The BLACK EYED SONS make nostalgic, feel-good rock ‘n’ roll that has sleazy glam struttiness and feels akin to 1974’s Mott the Hoople or Toys in the Attic era Aerosmith.

With exciting guitar riffs, high-energy rhythms, unique vocals, and interwoven guitars, they create bold, danceable songs.

With twang and yowl in all the right spots, this song gives off the swingy-swangy marshland tingles!

The band’s newest single ‘Dig Me Out Of This Hole’ features Angry Anderson (Rose Tattoo) on vocals and Scotti Hill (Skid Row) on slide guitar, and was written by Black Eyed Sons guitarist Paul Guerin (formerly of Quireboys and The Down n Outz.)

Also appearing on the recording are Chip Z’Nuff of Enuff Z’Nuff and Ronnie Simmons of Rose Tattoo.

Guy Griffin says, “It was great to have Scotti play on the track, who we’ve always admired as a guitarist and a good friend that we’ve toured with over the years. I read an interview where he said he wished he had more opportunities to play slide guitar, so I called him up and said we had just the track for him! And like us, he’s a massive Rose Tattoo fan.”

Scotti Hill added, “I’ve known the guys for many years and was very much looking forward to playing on one of the tracks. When they told me Angry Anderson was going to be on the record, I said that’s the song I need to play on!

Like a swig of strong alcohol, the dusty lead vocal is hot ‘and ‘n’ sleazy in a swampy, cobweb-filled atmosphere created by contaminated guitar sounds and haunting rhythms… the song is as significant and repercussive as a hunter’s moon on a deathly batwinged night…
