Do I Have Your Attention?” is a riff-driven onslaught that will cause your walls to quiver and your head to crash. It’s as loud as a rocket motor! It’s a rapid flow of furious energy! The audience is dared to crank up the volume and witness cosmic change (in themselves!) This song renounces lies, breaks down barriers, and celebrates daring! The piece is a guitar-powered blast, featuring heavy riffs and a sing-along chorus.

The words evoke conflicting feelings about releasing control while hesitating on decisions that may liberate (or destroy) a person’s life. The message is that the initial step for full participation (in life) is to release one’s inhibitions. Zealful!

RAW RAMP

No Need to Try Harder’ is a song about freeing oneself from one’s own limitations. It’s as tough as flint and spiky as a set of puma claws. The piece is raw and has a driving soundscape, but the enjoyable chorus will lift your spirits. The song’s pub-rock vibe is full of grit, impact, and true determination. Also, the slide riff has a weathered and very grainy feel. That’s right, this song is a vibrant wonder!

Title track “Trouble Coming” (video shared below) is juicier and earthier than a crawfish-boiling cookstove on a shadowy creek bank. The reiterative phrasing and the explorative nature of this piece is deliberately slow and thoughtful, with Laura’s voice running clear as crystal, like baptismal waters. This is an elegant and serenely contemplative piece of swampland country blues.

With a friendly rhythm, sassy riff-making, and spirited vocals, the upcoming punk single “The Broken” is jovial. It is an exhortation to stand-up and defend one’s morals & convictions and comes packed with a super-hummable chorus and a Green Day-ish centre-pinning acoustic drop.

This album weaves together insightful ideas, skilled music-making, confident song writing, and remarkably clear vocals. Poised, steadfast, and expertly capable. Yes, with Laura Cox trouble is on the way… yet it sounds incredibly thrilling!
