The British blues-rock artist JOANNE SHAW TAYLOR has announced that her new studio album “The Trouble With Love”, produced by Kevin Shirley, is set for release October 23rd 2026, and out via Journeyman Records.
In “The Trouble With Love”, Joanne fully embraces the disorder of complex love-based emotions. Mixing blues, rock, and soul-tinged pop, the songs on the album examine the diverse expressions of love in our lives: the daring kind of love that sweeps us off our feet, the soft kind of love that supports and cherishes us, the kind of love that shatters us, and the kind of love that restores us.
We described Joanne’s exemplary 2025 album “Black & Gold”, “a cocktail of delights, with a shaken humpy thumpiness, throaty vocals, grindy bass, and twilight rhythms…”

To mark the announcement, Joanne has shared the album’s latest single, “This Is Who I Am,” This is a heartfelt take on British singer-songwriter Celeste’s 2025 song about self-approval, self-love, and genuine self-recognition. The original version was hand-picked for the spy thriller TV series “The Day of the Jackal” (TV series), 2024.
“Kevin brought this cover of Celeste’s beautiful song to the table,” Joanne explains. “It’s such a beautifully written track […] about acceptance and self-love. I hope we’ve done it justice.”
