Talented jazz/alternative trio Buzzard Lope release their dust-flecked album ‘Pyrrhic Victories’ this week and celebrate with a launch party at Dalston’s Servant Jazz Quarters this Thursday 21st November.
Pyrrhic Victories is the debut album from the from band, fed on a diet of Mark Lanegan, Stereolab and Tom Waits.
We recently listened to the album and described it as “ … Smoky blue as Gitanes… with a slack bass that wobbles rather than twangs, a voice that pouts… and sad strings that hover like shrouds...”
