We listened to the title track:
It starts with the tiniest droplets of string-sound – then the first voice leaks out – like ink from parchment.
Gently, softly the accompaniment builds up – downy and delicate as an eider chick.
Then the drums pelt down, brass sounds create smooth orange discontent – and these transcends the vapour clouds of choral harmony … and it is then that we return to our own earthly kingdom.
Back into a world in which we shed real blood.
