New York folk rocker Johnnie Lee Jordan has just premiered his new track “Candy Mountain”.
It is the first single to be taken from his upcoming debut LP – Run – which is slated for release February 20th 2015.

This piece is full of cheeky twang .
The oil and canvas vocal is jaded and stained. Tobacco-like, but not bitter.
It seeps across the piece like creosote stains on a washboard.
There is a lacy vocal accompaniment – this is gradually revealed.
Then lips part, and the feathery stigma of the song is betrayed.
This is a sentimental backwoods number. It explores the fringes of what is wild and undeveloped.
With admirable skill and aplomb.
