The SeaWitches create Dark Dirty Poptones.
Based in Liverpool UK – Jo Herring and Laura Caldwell met in 2007 through friends; a meeting that resulted in an explosion of creativity where songwriting, musicianship and visual art collided to create SeaWitches.
The band gig regularly in Liverpool, where they’ve played Sound City, Music Week and the Green Party Conference as well as hosting their own nights supporting other well known bands like Eagulls and Giant Drag.

Their new song “Stars” is due to be released in early February.
We had a listen:
Slightly wobbly guitars and unbalanced rhythms create a cradle for the fervent voices to shake-things-up a little, and ruffle things about.
The tones may be low-guttural – but then they rise like warming butterflies – to shine in the bright sky.
The melody tends to elbow itself into your ear-drums – and lingers long after the first listen
Heart-felt and nuanced pop rock with darkly-passionate, fearless vocals that glide through the glint of low light — bringing brightness to the bones.
