Dutch (Utrecht) alternative/shoegaze three-piece Stillwave will release their new single Tarmac Plains on February 12th.

Although the soundscape here is a complex mechanism – bonded by chains of sound that connect together through pulsation – this is neither dense nor cloudy.
In fact it is extraordinarily ordered.
The voice is magnificent – iron ore opal in quality – the depth and range reminded us of blue-eyed crooner Tony Hadley crossed with down-hearted Nick Cave. The song gradually builds stepwise – boasting an impressive backbone of rhythm.
Dancing post-punk revivalist pop with a fruity voice and a hard, durable finish.
