Apparently Beenie Man recommended Baby Trish to work on this track with the Teddybears – the three savage looking monster-bear-headed tasty Swedes.
The 12 year old doesn’t seem particularly perturbed by their fearsome appearance. And she delivers a truly stunning perfomance on their latest release: ‘Whats Your Problem’.
Collectively, having worked with the likes of Cee-Lo, Iggy Pop, Flaming Lips, Robyn, Wiley, Madonna (before her fall at the Brits), Snoop Dogg and Daft Punk amongst others, the Swedish trio are respected and appreciated all around the world.
Now the band comprising of Jocke Åhlund, Klas Åhlund and Patrik Arve are on another mission. To bring electro/indie/rave to the world.
Baby Trish has the perfect rhythm for this.
Add to that her boundless enthusiam and unsurpassable eloquence of voice – and you get a wonderful package.
Dark waves of sound crack, sizzle and wobble around the beat.
As the vocal stands out … like a flag-pole on a ravaged battle-field. It’s not sweet or innocent. It’s impudent, impatient and pugnacious.
And sometimes it’s even dangerously putrid – like the carcass of a carrion crow fallen in the mud. But at least it makes you think!
Yeah, you’ll be swaying and see-sawing to this all over the dancefloor. Real soon.
But you just gotta you ask yourself the question… Whats Your Problem?
