Vintage rock / Groove pop band Jet Black Alley Cat from Nashville, Tennessee have recently released an emotion-packed video for their second single called “Memphis Blues”.
We had a listen:
This starts with a simply flicked sparkling high guitar — whilst an ever improving and heart-wrenching entreatment of vocal wafts in… then it spirals around the sluggish beat.
This song comes at you in ever-crashing waves. Almost suffocating — it is splendidly rich and addictive. But the vocals are cushions of softness and light so you will not be harmed — and the accompaniment is luscious and fulfilling.
The final sumptuous confection of growling guitars and simpering vocal adds to the overall splendour of this wonderful song, and leaves the listener with lingering honey-sweetness of the ears.
