Melodic Dubstep Hero Blackmill is Back with a Heavily Reggaed Summer Festival Hit Feat. Graham Brown

Blackmill is releasing a Midsummer Blockbuster ‘Feel That Love Again‘ — reviewed here:

Blackmill started producing music at the tender age of 8 when he received his first musical instrument for his birthday — an acoustic guitar which he still plays today.

Then after a period in ‘Trance’ and as Dubstep grew throughout 2010, Blackmill took a shine to the new genre.

He was quick to establish his own version of Dubstep, monickered Melodic Dubstep.  And it’s been proven a winning formula too… After he remixed Ellie Goulding’s “Your Song” which went stratospheric right away.

Now with 400,000 worldwide single sales, 80,000 worldwide album sale, and literally millions of streams behind him — Blackmill’s Robert Card is truly a hero of dubstep.

After a year of work, the enigmatic producer from Carrbridge, Scotland has returned with a tropical house number ‘Feel That Love Again’ — an experimental departure from his trademark melodic dubstep sound — and created with his best friend Graham.R.Brown.

We had a listen:

A fairground carousel of colourful shapes — with plenty of exciting bumps —  helps to lift this song sky-high like a shiny foil-balloon released by an eager yet slippery-fingered kid.

The bass beat is thick and heavily reggaed with a wobbly neckline of saxxy marmalade curves and some subtle snare-work.

The main vocal line is buttery smooth and wonderfully expressive (reminiscent of Ali Campbell  in purity.)

This will surely be a blockbuster Midsummer festival hit — a uniquely grooving reggae-dance number to light up your life… And to usher in a stunning monsoon for you and yours.
