The legendary French DJ/composer & Arranger POPOF has announced the release of “Words Gone” which is a stunning slice of electronic music with crossover appeal.
Featuring the handsome voice of French singer-songwriter and actor Arno Joey (Arnaud Lellouche) — “Words Gone” gives us a taste of what is in store with the release of his album later in June.
Parisian POPOF (Alexandre Paounov) first gained notoriety as a former member of the free-party underground collective “Heretik System” during the Parisian ‘90s rave scene… He is a versatile artist who explores various genres of music. Today, he stresses his preference towards minimal techno.

Meantime listen to the Jamie Jones Remix:
Gulllies of darkness tend to scrape into the sound, creating a landscape that is grooved and undulating.
The wings of the main melody brush up some dusty flecks from the surface — these tend to rise up ashily into the air to fleck it with their grittiness.
The voice is yellowed and stippled.
The rhythms can be peppery and even slightly waspish but, eventually, this grows into an involving sonic montage.
