Swedish indiepop band — The Black Sun’s Darling — formed by Julia & Sebastian in 2014 — released a single in March 2015: “This One’s for You” which was about longing for distant love. And sharing that feeling.
We had a listen:
Gulls sigh over a mottled pattern of rhythmic regret .
Cool pools of benumbed silvery vocal thrill-out, in the dark air, chilling.
This melancholy voice finally reaches a plateau of agonizing and lordly loneliness. Then the song becomes bundled with springiness.
And so you see, loves-longing seems braver than you might expect.
This is a beautiful vocal/melody mix — pleasing indietronica worthy of repeated listens.
It gives sympathy without over-saddening your worthy heart.
Their new single “Our love falls out of” is about falling out of love without being able to do anything about it. You can check the video below.
