The internationally renowned, Grammy Award-winning Canadian indie rock band Arcade Fire are releasing their first feature film.
The Reflektor Tapes, which is confirmed for inclusion in the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, is directed by 2013 Sundance Grand Jury Prize for Short Films winner Kahlil Joseph. It was produced by award-winning studio Pulse Films (20,000 Days on Earth, Shut Up And Play The Hits) and What Matters Most.

The buzz is that this film is very different from any other; offering a pure-of-heart cinematic experience, it meets somewhere at the crossroads of documentary, music, art and personal history.
The Reflektor Tapes is a fascinating insight into the creation of the acclaimed 2013 double album by Arcade Fire.
At the 2014 Juno Awards, Reflektor won Album of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year. It was also a short-listed nominee for the 2014 Polaris Music Prize.
The feature film summarizes the impression the album leaves in the audience mind, and promises to transport the viewer into a varied and endlessly exciting audiovisual landscape.
Cinema audiences can relive the extraordinary Reflektor live concerts — and these are re-imagined in true high definition film and surround sound.
Arcade Fire said:
“There were parts of the Reflektor tour where I think we, Arcade Fire, came the closest in our careers to putting on stage what we imagined in our heads. We were insanely lucky to have Kahlil Joseph documenting from the very beginning.”
