ELIZA SHADDAD was born to Sudanese and Scottish parents with a profound artistic heritage.

She draws from a distinct wealth of creative resource. A descendent of a long line of artists and poets dating back to the 1800s — Eliza’s great great grandfather was James Paterson, one of the Glasgow Boys – a group of artists who challenged the style and subject of late Victorian Scottish painting.

Eliza has announced a string of 17 dates across the UK and Europe with a headline London show on the 31st of March at The Sebright Arms and news of a fresh EP titled “RUN” to be released on the 18th of March via Beatnik Creative

We recently listened to the brooding twilight depths of her new song Wars [see below] with its wavelets of guitar and pikelets of rhythm.

And, of course, that husky-moist voice and that is always so dark and oh-so mothy
