Moonbeam Flickers and The Forbidden with SUMMER HEART

Malmö Sweden based lo-fi grunge solo artist SUMMER HEART (David Alexander) plays swaying pieces of psychedelically flavored pop memorabilia… crammed with heady nostalgia and auspicious vibrations.

Multi-instrumentalist Alexander fronts the act as well as devising beats (through vocals, guitar, synths, bass, computers, and drum machines.)

He is playing the SXSW in Austin this month and has released the attractive single: The Forbidden in time for the showcase.

Summer Heart – Sparkled dewshine pin pricks flicker through a pastel dawn….

We had a listen:

Sparkled dewshine pin pricks flicker through a pastel dawn.

Then delicate and translucent vocals moonbeam across the landscape.

The sounds are raised like lemon spectres before drifting off and getting caught in a whirlpool of noise which makes the whole piece dance and spiral like wind chimes caught in a gust.

This is delicious and easy but embraces turbulence and passion inside its grace-filled heart…
