Denver, CO soul/dream-rock artist ESMÉ PATTERSON will release her We Were Wild album [out in the UK 11 November 2016. ] – just ahead of a slot opening up for label-mate FRANK TURNER on his mammoth UK tour during Nov & Dec [dates below] – having already guested on his new #2 album Positive Songs For Negative People.
A headline show is also booked for London’s Servant Jazz Quarters on Dec.13.

Esmé said, “Really looking forward to my British Entrance (‘brentrance’) tour this November and December, opening for the one and only Frank Turner! Thanks so much to the wonderful folks at Xtra Mile for releasing We Were Wild to the rest of the world, it’s such a pleasure working with that rad team. See you soon, UK!”
We listened to the album:
“No River” has hugely efficient indie-vocals that are squeaky clean and full of mirth and verve.
The rat-tail rhythms are infectious. If you like the idea of sweet ‘n’ true vocals with a bourbon-bite to them, seek this out. Reminds us of the angelic quality of Alison Krauss edged with the hesitant poppiness of Lee Ann Womack. Super stuff!
“Feel Right” is a fast banjo-romp with a dippy doo-wop kookiness and cute and coolio wackiness.
This is like visiting a dovecote for a love-in!
