Irish four-piece ORCHID COLLECTIVE use crystalline vocal harmonies and thick layers of heated reverberating guitars to create stirring rock-folk pieces with alternative influences that might resonate with fans of Bon Iver.

Their latest release titled ‘Courage’, a cosmic 4 track EP is set for release October 21st.
The band, comprising of David O Shea (lead vocals, guitar), Shea Tohill (lead guitar, vocals), Hugh O’Neill (bass, vocals) and Brian Rooney (drums, vocals) have played endlessly throughout Ireland , and as they have developed their unique sound, they have also made a name for themselves as a haunting and memorable live act.
We had a listen to the lead track from the EP –
“Courage” has a galloping pace and rattles of rhythm. The vocals shine like the morning sun and sparkle like ripples on kelp.
The prayerful woven melody is bedaubed with elegant guitar lines.
This is emotionally dark and as enigmatically petitioning as a reflection in the ripples of the Bandon on a clammy-hot day.
