MOLLIE MARRIOTT— Control Gig

MOLLIE MARRIOTT, the talented daughter of former Small Faces and Humble Pie singer/guitarist Steve Marriott and step-daughter to singer Joe Brown, will perform a rare concert at London’s Borderline on Thursday 1st June 2017.

Mollie spent her musical career on the wings, having worked primarily as a supporting singer with many artists, including Oasis and her stepfather, Joe Brown’s band.

a dramatic and reflective Mollie Marriott – warm pulpy tones and tons of genuine heart…

Throughout the years she shared stages with The Who, Mick Hucknall, Jeff Beck and she sang backing vocals at The Faces 2015 reunion. She’s sang alongside Robert Plant, Van Morrison, Mark Knopfler and Imelda May to celebrate Bill Wyman’s 80th Birthday, and also toured with Paul Weller and Wilko Johnson.

Mollie has earned the spotlight like no other …

Mollie’s live performances ooze warmth and attractive charm. Her smart vocals are often bold and full of classic influences.

She finds raw emotional edge from deep within her soul… the type only the very best rock singers deliver – at times she’s full-blooded and elegant, at others she’s coy and sensitive.

This month sees the release of her new single, Control, which will be followed later in the year by her debut album Truth Is A Wolf.

Don’t miss Mollie Marriott when she plays London’s Borderline on Thursday 1st June 2017. Special guests include Pocket Dragon and Anna Krantz.

We have checked the official Mollie music video for the new single “Control” [see below] and this is what we think –

This is a marvelous marching, clapping rockin’ blues number… with Gospel undertones and clever reference to Humble Pie’s “Fool for a Pretty Face.”

Mollie offers up a dramatic, reflective voice with warm pulpy tones and tons of genuine heart.

Mollie Marriott appears at London’s Borderline on Thursday 1st June 2017.
