ABSENTÉ REO is a is a 26 year old engineer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and re-mixer from Brighton, UK who produces a range of soundtrack, acoustic and contemporary dance and future bass under various pseudonyms aka Mellon.

He has received airplay on BBC Introducing , BBC Sussex, BBC Surrey, Spiral Wave Radio and and in Australia on Triple J unearthed.
He spent 2 years backpacking in 15 countries with a rode microphone, laptop, guitar and a sequencer/sampler.
Travelling through USA, Cuba, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Australia, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil he collected many strange instruments on his journey and is a multi instrumentalist producer playing the Charango, Ukelele, Chinese Erhu, Peruvian Marimacho, Guitar, Bass, Piano, Percusion and pretty much anything that’s got strings.
We listened to the the calming “Spirit Engineering” recorded with a charango and produced whilst backpacking through South America.
This starts as a warm embrace that translates into a tappity excursion that runs itself like liquid honey across warming tapestries and velveteen vocals…
