Spanish, now London-based, indie-rock musician Luis Gotor, also known as CORALCROWN, fuses vintage punk sounds with groovy, modern synth-pop aesthetics.
The new number titled “She is a Saint” with a gorgeous accompanying video by Jorge Mayorga & Arturo Fuentes is a plucky fluster of seaside escapades, arcade bleeps and crinkle-cut, chatty rhythms with searching vocals that reminded us of Andy Bell of Erasure.
Yes, this contains a lot of emotional pain, but it’s not sad…
The song is a healing experience with expression-filled empathy found in every crevice of its wonderful architecture. A soft joy.
