World leaders in music industry education The Academy of Contemporary Music — ACM — and Europe’s leading independent Recording and Mastering Studios at METROPOLIS Chiswick have proudly launched a new student-run label initiative #MetropolisBlue — geared to those who study at ACM, with the expert guidance of industry professionals at the award-winning London Studios.
By uniting the unparalleled education of the ACM creative industry components with the world-class Metropolis studio, students will gain the experience necessary to advance their careers in this competitive industry.
ACM President and Metropolis Studios owner, Kainne Clements said: “We promised more industry-based learning and connected opportunity than any other provider and I am both excited and proud to deliver on this by launching the new record label, specific to ACM, powered by Metropolis.”
Building sustainable and sustainable careers since 1995, ACM represents every corner of the creative music industries, creating a microcosm of the business with its talented student body.
Metropolis Blue will act not only as a springboard for the careers of ACM students as artists, producers, managers and entrepreneurs, but also train them for the life skills they need to make informed decisions about their future.
This special initiative is not just about composers and artists, who get a professional release for their songs, but for everyone else along the way, during life of a song from initial inspiration to commercial launch.
Performers, Songwriters, Artists, Producers, Business and Technical Services students will not only be writing and releasing music, they’ll be running a label; organising PR and launch events; developing branding and marketing output; managing sync opportunities; delivering technical support, production and recording, mixing and mastering in a professional studio environment, mentored by established music professionals with a wealth of industry experience.
Richard Connell CEO at Metropolis Studios said: “Metropolis is renowned for sonic excellence, customer service and placing the artist at the centre of everything. We don’t just represent what the industry does, we are what the industry is doing, here and now, and I see it as a privilege to share this with the emerging talent that are the ACM students, from day one….”
This new initiative means that ACM students are uniquely placed to receive exclusive industry experience that opens doors into the creative industries whilst they are still in education. As strong believers in learning by doing, ACM is proud to showcase its next generation of creative talent to the industry and expects its students to succeed in the business.
