London alternative rockers YUR MUM have announced a new EP “Ellipsis” which features 5 tracks and includes their most recent single “Sweatshop.”

“Ellipsis” is a goliath of a record. Beginning with the devastatingly hefty “What Do You Want” it evokes those sounds that sit somewhere between the mid-1980s West-coast alt-rock movement and the nihilistic school-of-thought brought home during the 90’s post grunge scene in Britain. In this way, the E.P. brings a brawny wodge of muscular guitar to the fore, decorated by some exquisitely assertive vocals from singer /bassist Anelise.
“Sweatshop” (video shared below) is immensely exciting, vivid and über-intense pummelling, and, along with title track “Ellipsis” has the ability to cause punk-inclined metal-hipsters to head-bang their rage-pants right into next week.
The songs here are as brutal as a kick in the metal-blade balls… this is as exciting as having a firework firefly being thrust down your front zipper…
Like we said before, “It’s an undefinable concoction of caustic irony and bouncy sprightliness...”
