The Rocket Dolls – a magnificent thunderbeast…

THE ROCKET DOLLS never fear combining ingredients from the rich and versatile pop rock / heavy metal palette, to cleverly create remarkable new, polymorphic sounds. We have previously described their danceable, singaholic and totally clap-worthy pieces as “incredible” with “splurging choruses”.

The Art Of Disconnect” begins tenderly with serene piano. Then the power balloons swell under the veins of this magnificent and rippling thunderbeast. The low notes sprout exponentially, the rhythms proliferate, the main vocal shines like a million stars, and the intensity matures outrageously.

But, more than anything, this is a triumphant war whoop against everything that brings us down (whether external or internal): In this way, the composition is a jubilant rejoice of art over pain, of logic over nonsense, of care over suffering, and of love over greed.

When the world is as messy and divided as it is now, when everything we believe in has separated and decoupled beyond all recognition — when all we are left with is the power of our own ingenuity, the intensity of our own vision, and the recognition of our own ability — we can make great things happen… sure we can.  Try it for yourself; Perfect the “art of disconnect” before it’s too late!
