Those crazy, crazy, crazy sleazy, glam-rock GYPSY PISTOLEROS are releasing a best-of 18 track anthology album titled “The Greatest Flamenco Sleaze Glam Band Ever!” via Golden Robot Records.
“Una Para Todo Es Bandido” has wonderful Spanish tremors, descending vocals, and rattlesnake rhythms. Yes, this might be punk rock, but it is delivered hot like baked mezcal mixed with cottonmouth bite.
Whereas “The Crazy Loco Loquito” is a saltarello of sparkling brilliance.
From Dusk till Dawn inspired “Sangre Till Dawn” plays softly and moves like a gila on a cracked riverbed. It’s ironic and hard, gritty and dry, like distilled Morricone.
While Cher’s “Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves” (written by Bob Stone) is more-or-less left intact (just like you remember it) but is presented with a dry bluntness and level of sarcasm that was not present on the original.
If you’re a fan of desert vampires, hot tequila, and crickle-crackle, boundary crossing sleaze rock… this is for you.
