PHILDEL — Wild Sea

The singular singer and songwriter PHILDEL, whose vocal complexity we have described in the past as “soprano tendrils and squirming contraltos” and whose glistening melodies seem to be made of sugar strings with silver pollen dust rhythms, has just released the video for her song “Wild Sea” taken from the album “Wave Your Flags” released last May.

Phildel Wave Your Flags
Splattered countercurrent emotions..

It’s an aggregation of freckle beats, splattered countercurrent emotions, with breathy vocals that move like a flute —

And the whole rhapsody seems as if it is sluice-washed in saltwater so it replenishes your soul while bringing tears to your eyes.

It’s a sippet of polymythic beauty.
