J.R. HARBRIDGE beseechment

The talented multi-instrumentalist master-musician J.R. HARBRIDGE from Cannock, UK, whose new Americana album entitled: ‘Long Black River’ is due 30th April 2021 — has released the second single from the forthcoming album, this one titled: ‘Break The Spell’.

The number is anchored in observations about the media and the seductive deceptions that the mighty & privileged contrive over our world.

Break The Spell

“The song is about how we may have lost sight of how we should be living…” he says.

“With love at the centre of our being rather than self; also, how we have a long way to go to be anywhere near such a standard and beacon.

“I wrote this song some years ago.  The message seems to hold more water with every year that passes.”

Thus, this gracious and harmonious fingerboard conjuration — complete with creamy embedded organ — has mouthwatering strands of gleaming guitar. The voice is dry as cigarette paper and yet smooth as lemon balm (it can be positively compared to Jeff Lynne’s) to evoke a sense of beseechment to an otherwise melancholic state-of-affairs.
