Italian metal legends LACUNA COIL have announced that their 10th studio album Sleepless Empire will be released via Century Media on 14 February 2025
The band was established in 1994 and gained prominence in Europe’s goth-metal scene with their breakthrough album, Comalies, released in 2002. The band announced in July 2022 they’d release an LP called Comalies XX, featuring “deconstructed and transported” versions of their 2002 songs.
Vocals continue to be performed by Cristina Scabbia and founding-member Andrea “Andy” Ferro.
Richard Meiz joined the band for their most recent album, Black Anima (2019) which received positive reviews. INVERNO’s Daniele Salomone takes over guitar duties from Diego Cavallotti on the forthcoming studio album.
‘Oxygen‘ (music video shared below) is an escalating tempest of oppressive and suffocating clouds of consequence and becomes a stew of unavoidable abandonment.
