The London based rock guitarist & singer-songwriter JACK J HUTCHINSON, renowned for his seductive vocals and very-passionate guitar-play returns with a brand new single and accompanying video ‘Soul Believer’.
We described the artist’s 2024 album ‘Battles’ as, “Springboarding riffage, muscular rhythms, and a juggernaut of smoky purposefulness…”
‘Soul Believer’ is the first single from Jack’s forthcoming studio album of the same name, set for release on Friday 22 January 2027 and available to pre-order here>>
To celebrate his release, Hutchinson will headline a special album launch show at O2 Academy Islington on Thursday 21 January 2027.
Co-written with Josiah J Manning at Momentum Studios, ‘Soul Believer’ has heavy riffs and gritty vocals. It conveys a message of courage, urging listeners to face their fears, meet their enemies head-on, and be ready plunge directly into the next state of upheaval that will (undeniably) come their way. The song is about defending one’s rights and achieving one’s highest capabilities.
“‘Soul Believer’ was written during a period of turmoil and instability in my personal life,” explains Hutchinson.
“It’s about taking all the shit that life can throw at you, raising your head above the parapet and saying, ‘bring it the f*** on!’. There’s no point being pulled down by the chaos, we all have that spark in us to keep fighting and carrying on. It’s about believing that eventually there will be brighter days and that hope is a powerful thing!”
Recorded over the last twelve months at Momentum in Plymouth and SuperFly Studios in Nottinghamshire, Soul Believer marks Hutchinson’s first studio album since 2024’s Official Independent Chart-topping ‘Battles’.
This recording builds on the success of Hutchinson’s co-writing partnership with Josiah J Manning on the last album, which resulted in two Planet Rock playlisted tracks, plus rave reviews from BBC Radio 2 and Classic Rock Magazine.
